Alex was the best educated of George’s children, being the only one to reach what is now Year 10. He worked as a bootmaker most of his life and for a time worked at James Porter Wills factory then at several boot factory’s but they all closed due to increasing competition. Alex died in 1990 from lung cancer.

Jack, or Coogan as he was known (after the child actor Jackie Coogan), served in the navy in WW2. After the sale of his mother's milk bar at Manly, the Surf Inn, Coogan and his wife June opened a chicken shop in Lindfield and operated it for many years

Following the break up of her parents' marraige, Iris was bought up by Irish aunts but spent much of her time with nuns from her school. Iris seems to have maintained contact with her father and was present when he died in 1939 at age 46. She later becomes reconciled with her mother and subsequently they enjoyed a harmonious relationship.
Iris initially worked in service then photocolouring before becoming a salesperson for women’s fashions. She lived for many years at Redfern then moved to Canberra in 1948. Iris returned to Sydney in 1965, marries her second husband, Tom Fonnyadt from Hungary and moves to Tupper St Marrickville to live in a house she buys from her mother.
Iris married (1) Fernival Ross Langley. The marriage ended in divorce.Fernival was born on 9 May 1904. He died on 19 Sep 1965.
